C-H Activation: Toward Sustainability and ApplicationsBrief Summary:A new article investigates the sustainability challenges of C–H activation. This research team examines the pursuit of abundant metal catalysts, the avoidance of static directing groups, the replacement of metal oxidants, and the introduction of bioderived solvents. Finally, they take a closer look at the subfield of aryl C–H borylation from its origins, beginning with Ir-based systems all the way to new 3d metal catalysts.
